As I see it ....
Compassion for people, not simply agreement on all things, goes a long way in helping folk to work together. Feeling with the other person (s) is not always an easy thing to do. Compassion in my life has been nurtured by 54 years (I started young!) in the ministry. Being privileged to walk with your parishioners and your community through grief, hurt, death and failure as well as the great times, nurtures in the person open to it a tough and yet caring compassion. The county has to work with people in the good times and the bad; in disaster and good growth. I offer a good choice for good change--with grit and compassion.
