As I see it ....

Grabbing the future and investing in it involves ability to get to know and work with local, state and federal legislators, staff and leaders to get funds and cooperation for the greater good of all our people. I have served on a joint legislative committee on prisons; I have served on a state advisory committee on vocational education; and on the local level I serve on a public school gifted advisory committee. In each of these and other teams, I focus on the big picture, I look for practical solutions. I try to help the team to consider prevention, advance preparation and planning with common sense to do the things which will bring a better life for all. As I see it, these are qualities which make for a good team member of the County Commission.
