As I see it ....
I have the ability to get people of various opinions or concerns to sit around the table, lay every thing on that table and then work together for solutions best for the whole. And that is the key to leadership. My style is not to bully, threaten or bluff. My style of leadership draws not only upon education but long experience of working with folk for the big picture.
How will your life be better with that style of leadership on the County Commission? My experience will be there for the good of all--I represent a good choice for good change.
My years of pastoring large and small churches, working with budgets and staff and also administrative experience in taking a small business from the red to the black and building with a team of experts a program of mental health and mental retardation programs are needed on the commission. My last appointment before retirement was as the District Superintendent of the Clovis District of the United Methodist Church. All my people skills were called upon to supervise and administer the churches and institutions within the district.
