This was a very busy day because I contributed things to and helped with a Democratic fund raiser garage sale at the McDonald's home. We appreciate their generosity of proving space for this event. The sale went well, and later I took my turn in the kitchen serving folk who crowded the old Weed school gym for some of the best Blue Grass music anywhere. Candidate Obama's community organizer is from the east of the USA and wanted to hear some of the music and meet Weed area folk. Her name is Faina Ibragimova and she is the Otero County Field Organizer for the Barack Obama campaign. Stop by their office at 1217A 10th Street, Alamogordo. There was a large crowd at the potluck supper opening of the Obama office on August 2.
