Dulaney's Doings - August 11

August 11-12

These dates found me attending the Cloudcroft School Board meeting and the 12th being a guest at a terrific hamburger supper at the Upper Cox Canyon Volunteer Fire Department meeting. I shared some of my vision for the future of the county and then spent a lot of time listening to their needs. Being a member of the Sacramento/Weed Volunteer Department and having an only son who began with the Sacramento Hotshots and worked his way to now being a Western Region Incident Commander for the Forest Service Fire fighters; I have a great respect for these people who get trained to and fight fire in our behalf. Their risk of life and injury for us simply leaves me in awe.
