I took time off from the fair booth to attend the Tom Udall for Senate rally sponsored by the Alamogordo City mayor, the honorable Steve Brockett. The gathering was said by the mayor to be multipartisan and included independents who support Tom Udall for the Senate. Tom focused most of his brief speech on energy and New Mexico's ability to lead the way in solving energy problems. Udall was very gracious to recognize Doug Post, candidate for state representative district 51 and myself. He took time to visit with me and others there, and he was very encouraging to me in my campaign to become the next Otero County Commissioner for District 3.
